|
|
As much as it pains me to do, with a set of 585's on the way my 994 set is going to need a new home.
Set really hasnt seen much use... used in approximately 15 ice games and approximately 20 roller games. The glove is still a little tight. I always thought a blocker was a blocker until I played with this thing.
The gloves have been air dried after every game.
Features:
Glove: http://www.donsimmons.com/ice_hockey_goalie_equipment_item.php?id=898&menu=pro
NHL Spec
Double Palm Break
Pro Palm
2 internal backhand lockdowns and 1 internal wrist strap (all padded)
Air padded internal wrist cushion
Blocker: http://www.donsimmons.com/ice_hockey_goalie_equipment_item.php?id=899&menu=pro
NHL Spec
1.5" board thickness (this is not the thin board version)
Full composite board
Double Nash Palm
Air assisted backhand and sidewall protection
Paddles down like a dream (yes, that is an official feature)
Flaws: See last 4 images
There is some blue color transfer from my 994 CA on the inside cuffs
The binding on the sidewall of the blocker around the thumb opening is a little frayed from poke checks
There is very minor ice burn along the edge of the T, very minor, no holes, but I want to mention everything.
I honestly dont really want to sell them, but with the 585's coming they are going to be on a shelf and the wife revoked my gear budget to be put towards a house down payment. The insides of the gloves are still soft, no crust or crunch. I love the blocker so much I thought about keeping it but it makes more sense to keep the set together, I will break them up however if there is serious interest in each individually.
Price: NOW $200 + s/h OBO
Now for the eye candy. If you would like to see more pictures let me know and I will post or email them...
The last 4 images are of the flaws I mentioned. The shots of the cuffs show the blue transfer and mild staining. The last two shots have the glove on the left with the ice burn circled (the other side of the T is fine, its just the shine of the light), and the blocker shows the fraying on the sidewall.
Side note: I am currently done playing as my season just ended so while these will not see any further use I want to wait until my 585's come in before shipping these out. If you are interested and want them ASAP I'll work with you.. Id just feel more comfortable having my new gloves before shipping these. The 585s should arrive shortly as Monday is the 8 week mark. _________________ you're only as good as your last save

Gloves need to go... Id rather them go to a board member than to the Bay.
At this price point its like saving $110 on the glove and $100 on the blocker ... and thats after the DS clearance price.
I've had some interest but no takers yet.
If you seriously want them but need time with cash or something let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I have a couple items lined up to buy but need these gone before I can do so. _________________ you're only as good as your last save

$200 + s/h takes the set = half the cost of a new set from Simmons. _________________ you're only as good as your last save

Are you located in Canada? Aprox shipping costs to T6V 1X8, Edmonton, Alberta? _________________ "Trying to stop the little black thing" |
