For sale are my 5-year old Reebok 8K leg pads, 35" with no extra rise. The blocker and catcher are senior sizes. This is a matching set, the color scheme is white/blue/silver.
This set would be great for a recreational goalie.
I have 19 full-size photos that I can send to you, please leave an email address.
Leg Pads
Size: 35"
Condition: Very used. The pads show significant wear to the inner toe and boot, but they were used for a full season in the state they are in now without any trouble. The knee stack on one pad is beginning to tear at a seam, but this too did not affect my performance. All of the straps are usable and the velcro is functional. The leather faces are not cut, just puck-marked.
These pads are butterfly style pads with a very open leg channel. Excellent for letting your leg "swim" for maximum pad rotation. These pads are NHL spec with over-the-pant thigh boards that can be easily switched out for newer style under-pant thigh guards.
Glove
The matching glove is a senior sized glove. It has been well-used, but it still very functional. The palm of the glove has an abrasion from my stick. The outer flap of the glove has been professionally restrung 2 years ago. The top of the pocket has begun to tear, but I used a bit of duct-tape to cover it up and never had an issue. It could easily be repaired by a leather shop, but I do not have one locally. The glove is still sharp-looking. NHL legal size.
Blocker
The blocker definitely shows a lot of puck marks, but the face is in great shape otherwise. There are two tears in the fabric protecting the hand that could be replaced by a seamstress with some extra nylon. The palm shows wear, but it is not worn through. NHL Legal.
I used these pads for 2 seasons of high school ice hockey, a season of men's league hockey, and a season of Division 3 college hockey. I am now playing for a Division 2 team so I decided to upgrade to RBK Revokes.
Overall, these pads would be great for a men's league or other recreational goalie that wants a usable set of pads cheap. I am open to negotiations on price and willing to hear any offers. I need to let these go, the first reasonable offer is going to take them. Send me a number, you might be surprised!
I will separate the gloves from the pads, but the gloves must be sold as a set.
Thanks guys, feel free to ask me any questions you may have. _________________ My goal is to deny yours.
