Against who, the Isles or Edmonton?
Kinda reminds me of that team that won all state that ran the score up on the "special needs" basketball team...it doesn't count if the other team is handicapped! |

Edmonton's been doing quite well this year actually. They have more points than the Canucks, sadly.
He faced 27 shots... regardless if it was me shooting at him, it's still a good sign to post a shut out. |

| It does show that he's getting his game back which is good to see after that embarrassing first week for him. However I think to judge a team by the number of points this early in the season is kind of a long shot. I don't think the Oilers will hold on at all as the season progresses further...they just don't have the talent or depth. |

Well we all know how well that worked for the Avs...Ray-who?
Hopefully Lou is healthy again soon at least give the Canucks a chance. |

Actually I will bet you money that you're going to see a much better raycroft.
The Avs have sucked the past few seasons, and Raycroft was caught in the crossfire. As with him and the leafs, when he has good defense in front of him, ala Boston Bruins, he won rookie of the year.
He's got decent skills, just needs to be confident.
I'll be he's .500 or better while Luongo is down. |

| Yes but as Craig Anderson has quickly proven...a good goaltender can overcome a lack of defense. |

Ok, then we'll go with past references...
Hiller proved it, Fleury proved it, Varlamov proved it, Steve and Chris Mason both proved it, Thomas proved it, Ward proved it. And those were all just last year.
And by proving it since I know someone is going to try to be smart about this, I mean they carried a sub par team all the way to the playoffs and succeeded in defeating "better" teams. By better I mean statistically better on paper. |
