Flyers sign Emery to a one year deal:

I hope for their sake his attitude has changed. It kind of sucks because he's a good goalie (IMO), but I'd never take a chance on him after the stunts he pulled in Ottawa. Brings the whole team moral down...

I hat Emery, He's a tool. I doubt he will last very long back in the NHL. But Philly needs someone better in net and they're desperate.

Biron didn't do THAT bad, he's just too inconsistent. Comes up with spectacular saves once in a while, and then lets in softies.

Sounds like my game...

Signed,
Roberto Luongo

Seriously though, Emery to Philly? I mean Biron REALLY isn't that bad. They just got beat by a better team this year (obviously) and they're looking for a scapegoat. Wonder if part of the trade deal is to get Emery's H3 out of lockup before he moves. Laughing

I dont know, I think he will be a good fit in Philly. A tough guy the fans could identify with as long as he leaves stupid at home. IT will be interesting to watch the philly fan board to see what they think.

They're probably thinking Emery is a guy that played great in the league he was in this year as well as being a guy that took his last NHL team to the Stanley Cup Finals. In spite of his being a total a$$ sometimes, he is a very good goalie and much more consistent then Biron. Just my thoughts on it though. This could be one of those things that come back to bite the team just like Avery did to the Rangers....or he may have grown up and they may have a great goalie that will solidify the defense on their team.

he's a half decent goalie.

not a "really good" goalie.
