Just like hooking up with the hottest chick for prom night, I'm sure he wasn't thinking straight...he's getting his all-star starter back.

yeah i totally agree.. i'm not even a devils fan but to send clemmensen back was a huge mistake and a major way to turn their back on someone who carried them to where they are now. if i was clemmensen... i would ask for a trade.

Clemmensen should have been the frickin' starter until he gave the coaching staff a reason to sit him! When I saw they sent him down I was so suprised. I would be demanding a trade right about now.

Do you even know the circumstances? wow, when I read stuff like this, i don't believe you're actual sports fans.

There were very distinct reasons they had to do what they did.

1. They brought up Clemmensen on Emergency Recallable Waivers (no one can take him away from NJ)

2. As soon as they cleared Brodeur healthy, they HAD to put him down to the farm right away or they would have to put him on waivers. Since he played so well anyone could have taken him, and would take him.

3. They had a choice to make, Keep Clemensen, and put Kevin Weeks on Waivers before sending him down (they may lose him as well, which they don't want too). Now then Clemensen would just sit there and be the backup, and not get any playing time. And they would probably lose some trade bait in Kevin Weeks. Not the smart choice.

Sheesh, itech always gets so fired up. The point was that Brodeur is back and we can all watch to see how he performs again.

No that's great news! Smile I'm not fired up at all, just pointing out so people will understand. It's obvious some people don't really understand how the business end of the game works, they just want to see good saves, fights, and great goals. Which is completely fine too, but they need to shut up about the business end of it then. Wink

ps: what can i say, i'm passionate guy!

Sometimes being right is the wrong thing to do though...I understand what he's saying and while frustrating...it's part of the game. No point insulting someone or telling them to "stfu" in essence because they don't see it the way he says it. Just let some of us be happy in our ignorance and debate about things that we can't change either way. Little things. Little things in life bring us joy.

I understand fine how the business side works but the whole point is that they should've realized this was going to happen and planned for it. Just because I'm not playing into the "oh well that sucks" category of this issue does not make me some mindless hockey fan like you describe. It's just ridiculous how everyone thought goaltending was going to be the big issue in NJ after Brodeur went down and then Weekes gives them a poor start, then Clemmensen more or less saves their playoff hopes and they didn't even consider keeping him and moving Weekes. After all, it was the poor play of Weekes in the first place that made everyone nervous. So just because i'm stating my opinion about how they should've gone about the situation it doesn't mean I have to shut up for anybody.
