A little bit of topic when this forum is about NHL goalies... but anyway..
What it seems, most of you guys are huge Wogtech-fans right?
How come Corey Wogtech is playing in Belgium/Netherlands in Europe?
Those contries are not big hockey countries, in my opinion one of the worst hockey contries in Europe.
Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech, Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany got better leagues than that, even the leagues beneath the best one in their countries.
Does anyone know why he plays there and not in one of the bigger hockey countries in Europe?
Don't now so much about him except that he's got an outstanding technique but even with that he must be able to play in a better league than that... just confusing... anyone knows? _________________ "Do just once what others say you can't do and you will never pay attention to their limitations again" |

He has backed up in 5 different leagues from 2005 to 2008 with save percentages really low. He played 4 games total in two different USA minor pro leagues, with a .778 save percentage in two games with the Fort Wayne Komets (IHL) and a .793 save percentage in 2 games with the Mon Valley Thunder (MAHL).
He is just playing where he can still play. He is starting in Belgium, so that's a place to start. He is still only like 24, so he still has a chance at moving back up again. |

He's happy playing there too, I've watched his video blogs and it looks like he's learning a lot about life.
He has fans like us (no bodies) because he's put those good videos out for the n00bs to understand the concept behind the butterfly blocking technique. |

Itīs like in the most sports..........not the best player or goalie is the best coach !
Maybe he has a wonderful technic but his way to play in a game is perhaps not so effectiv.........
I never saw him playing so itīs just a speculation .
Regards
