I had a couple pucks hit the knee before I put the guards on... The biggest pain to the knee was a guy's skate, he came in crashed the crease and booted the top of my knee, and that hurt the most. Almost took me out of the game. |

| if you wear rbk your not going to need them because the pad is so curvy and big that it closes your five right up and leaves no room to hit your knee, however i have seen things vaughn has where its a combination, it wraps your upper thigh and goes inside your pants but is connected to where the thigh-board would be? |

that's not the case you often can get thinks coming at you when extending your save. or if you're moving and something hits you, or if you're down cause some fat a$$ fell on you and someone shoots. it's always best to be protected.
the brian's thigh guards i wear are like what you're explaining they attach where the thigh boards would, wrap around your leg and fit under your pants. |

I am wearing the Itech softies (not the RBK clones), attached with skate lace to a garter belt so they don't slip down.
Thigh boards are not an option for me, I don't like the feel of them. |

| what i was talking about is the new NHL thigh wraps. because the nhl outlawed thighboards, the goalies are now using thigh wraps. they are like the upper part of a knee pad but connect where the board would go. they are basically thigh boards that wrap around ur thigh. keeps ur knee in the pad and protected |

when i got my r10s i immediately switched them over to the vaugh thigh boards cause thats what i was used to.. after my dad ran over my pads with the car and completely mangled the thighboards i switched to the wraps that came with the pad and they are even better... alot more mobility.. not to worry the pads are still in perfect condition... he mainly just ran over the thighboards :S i guess it was a calling from above to make the switch |

| TPS R10s... the new pads for 09 ahah they are arguably THE best pads on the market to date. Believe me i tried the rbk ps3s and one95s aswell, having previously owned vaughn v3 7500's |
