I get tomorrow my new Reebok pro pants and chest protector!
I already tried them on, they fit really big (Large is like XL for Vaughn stuff).
The chest protector feels like the P1, my favorite C/A of all time! Its really long and perfect for tall guys like me (I'm 6'4"). I didn't use it on the ice yet, but I will on tuesday for around 2 hours!
The overall look is really nice, and it's designed for a butterfly-blocking style. If you don't play this type of style, I would recommend you a different C/A. Like vaughn. haha
I wanted the Vaughn velocity 3 chest protector, but vaughn f*cked up and couldnt deliver me one since march. Too bad for them, Rbk (oops, I mean Reebok) is my choice now.
To the pants: I had to choose between the Vaughn's and Rbk's. The Vaughn pants are both awesome (The epic and velocity), and it was a tough choice. I decided in favour for Reebok because of many, small details I liked better on the Rbk's (the protection is great on all of them, same thing with the fit). The Reebok pants have a lil'bit lower fit than the Vaughn's, and it works better with my new C/A. The interior waist belt is just a cool thing to have, it makes you bigger in net. It actually does haha. Plus, the Rbk's have a little pocket for a mp3 player
I still love vaughn, especially their pads, gloves and blockers, things I wouldnt get of Rbk, but thats just because I got forced to wear them for a while haha. _________________ If God were a goalie he had'b my backup!

I just got off the Ice 1 hour ago.
The pants are great, perfect fit, room for movement on the ice, perfect protection, even on slapshots ( I told my teammates to shoot on my chest and my pants so that I can become a feeling for rebounds).
The pants have a really comfy fit, and so far they are the best pants ive ever used (but its probably too early to say that after one practice!)
The chest protector is awesome too! I dont feel shots at all, nice protection, even on the ribs! And because it has a long fit, I can wear my pants loose without giving up protection.
The only thing is: It probably takes a while till it breaks in. Its really bulky right now, but the guy from Reebok told me that it will break in quickly. I really hope so, because Im not used to a complete blocking style C/A.
If I would have to rate the stuff, the pants would get a 9.5/10 (-0.5 because my Ipod classic doesnt fit into the mp3-player pocket ) and the C/A probably a 9, -1 because it doesnt feel too familiar with it right now! _________________ If God were a goalie he had'b my backup!

I know a few people who hang up their C/A in the bathroom while they shower so the steam softens up the materials and makes it easier to break in, just an idea if you wanna speed up the process |

How did you find the C/A broke in?
I picked up the Pro spec snr from hockeymonkey.eu a few months back. Had the guy on the phone running around trying different types on to find a decent fit as he was the same body shape as me. (Ive found its damn hard getting decent kit for a decent price in England, had to import from Sweeden)
Ive had it about 3 months now and im still struggling to set it up to get the best comfort and mobility. The length and chest i think ive sorted now but the arms i find quite clunky with the larger pieces of padding on the inside arm. |
