| I just recently purchased a Vaughn Vault glove in red/black/white. So far it is by far the most comfortable glove I have owned. This is coming from a Mission Motion Lite and a Reebok 6k. The break in is nothing because it opens and closes so easily. I'm hoping to try it out this weekend and see how well it goes. |

I am curious as to how Vaughn blockers compare to the others on the market.
I have had my eye on a couple of velocity 1 and velocity 2 blockers I have seen around but have always been a simmons owner.
Can anyone provide insight? |

i had all white v3's and they were the best pads i have had so far... only thing is recently i have moved to rbk p2 turco breaks.. only bcause they are a little more stiff and i like the straping system on the rbks a little better otherwise they are great pads _________________ "The best are the ones that try the best" |

Okay, well I got a new Vaughn V2 7070 glove and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality.
Protection: 9/10 the protection is very good and there is only one place on the glove where you could get hit
Break In: 7/10 I could take it out of the box and could partially flex it. Still has to be broken in more, but it can be closed.
Overall: 9/10 I think this is a real good glove and will last me a long time. _________________ This is the voice of world control. I bring you peace. It may be the peace of the plenty and content or the peace of unburied dead. The choice is yours: Obey me and live, or disobey and die. |

just got my v2 sr glove blocker off of ebay used like 6 times for 300.
the glove is a huge improvement from my itech poop and the blocker well its a blocker but the side protection seems better and palm quality as well
just around the house... i can actually grab the stick with my trapper and hang onto it pretty well it takes a pretty rough hit with my other hand to knock it out.. so i figure this will tranfer into better puck handling ability and already fixes the major complaint i had previously with my old 4.8... opens great, huge face it just seems twice the size of my old glove and weighs a lot less.
it was a bit hard to close right out of the box but put some weight on it for about 4 hrs and its great. i leave weights on it every day for a weigh just to keep breaking it in. as well as leaving it open too.
ill post pics soon and official review on ice will come at the end of nov early dec
if i get the v3 c/a i will post pics and review then as well _________________

I just got these lately and they actually play pretty well. I've always had vaughn gloves so it's hard to compare to others, but these 8600 epics are lighter than my older xp customs. The only difference i would say is that with the new regulation changes, the catch glove feels much smaller than my old one but that's not a negative, especially since it's regulated across all brands. When hockeyservices sent the catch glove it came laced shut in the mail so it was easy to close from the get go. The only problem is that since it came shut, now it's quite a bit of work to get it open. The strapping system is the exact same as my xp customs so i would have to say that when you compare one line to another, it would probably be about the same level. I would recommend these for anyone who doesn't want to spend a grip load of money on a pair of vaughn gloves but yet still want the vaughn design and quality. I believe i paid $300 for both so it's pretty affordable. _________________ Itech X-Wing Pro C/A
