In my 8Ks the puck would hit the pad and be right there for me to cover, but in the R8's it just launches, and usually it goes to players. According to the seller, they are 3 years old, only used 1 season before he grew out of them, only puck marks as far as condition, and is asking $600. Does anyone have any experience with these pads, pr TPS in general? I'm upgrading from the tour pads shown in canadian_man_44's post (http://www.goalieforum.com/goalie-equipment-reviews-f2/smith-5000-pads-blocker-and-trapper-review-topic1362.html), matching leg pads, blocker and trapper, and chest protector. I'm trying to branch into ice hockey besides just roller hockey, and figured this might be a great price to start.
