I just bought the TPS R8 glove and blocker set. The colors are white and grey. They are built to Lundqvist's specs. They look really cool. Very Happy

Glove:
The glove is fantastic. When I went to the store to look at it, it felt great. The glove already clamped without needing to be worn in. The new NHL sizing is a little hard to get used to, but after a while it's pretty easy to rob people. The palm protection is really good, I caught a slapshot and it barely stung. I have an old RBK X-Pulse 6.0 glove and I used to get terrible stingers with it, but I havent had any with my new R8 glove. The only problem I have with it is that it's really hard to cover up the puck without it slipping out of the glove. I thought I had one covered up, but then I saw it sliding into the net a second later. Shooting with this glove is relatively easy. It shoots much better than my old glove.

Blocker:
I havent taken many blocker shots yet, but the ones I saved felt relatively good. It's a very light blocker for a pro model. When holding the stick, it barely feels like you're even wearing a blocker. Extremely comfortable. The finger protection is good, when making paddle down saves it protects well from people jamming at your fingers.

It seems like TPS always makes a good blocker, but I haven't checked out the glove yet. Pics would be great.

Those pads are great for roller hockey. I started out playing roller and those were the first ice pads I got. (I played 4 months of roller with my X-Pulses)

Shame, if I knew how the TPS blockers were when I was getting my stuff I would've purchased one of those. The player like individual finger padding is great from what I've seen and heard.

The blocker really is fantastic. Smile

I do like them. Great protection but I need to make some adjustments. Ever since I put on the toe ties my 5 hole has opened up a bit and I'm getting scored on there Confused. As for the blocker, it is well padded and very comfortable but it's a bit on the heavy side, compared to others.

TPS is releasing the Response 10 line next fall
I've seen Lundqvist's new pads before he even got to see them.
they are AMAZING, like R8 but everything improved, fixed, and reworked to make them better.
they are very stiff, but also very light, and still fully customizable, like all TPS pro pads. i wish i had money to buy those Razz
couldn't take pics, didn't have my camera.
the rep said he would try and get me a sample to try on, so if he does it i'll get a review.
Blocker is same as it used to be
Catcher is harder to close
The graphic is fine, but nothing exceptionnal

Time for an update on how the pads are...

The glove is okay. I still hate the new NHL sizing, but I suppose it takes a while to get used to. I don't like the protection on my lower palm, I have gotten massive stingers from really hard slapshots. But, I guess you get that with any glove. All the other parts of the glove protect my hand very well. Still feels great, it's beginning to get worn in finally. The blocker is fantastic. I have had no problems with it lately. Hopefully I will get the R8 leg pads, they seem to have really good quality from what I've heard..

Will update again soon... They'll really be put to the test at goalie school in August. Smile

BTW, Has anyone been to The Goalie Academy schools? I'm going for a second time in their enhancement camp, I was wondering if anyone knew how it was. The first time I went to a beginner camp which helped a lot, but I have never been to the enhancement camp.
