Has any one bought and used the new simmons 994 Pro. My old C/A was a simmons too and it held up good. But it is 10 years old now and I am getting alot of stingers need something with some more protection. The Claim this 994 is as good as the vaughn v3. And feedback would be great.

This is not really a review and perhaps should be in the chat section. However, I bought the 994 c/a about 5 months ago. I'm 6' 1" and went with the XL size. Very comfortable when on with lots of flexibility. No stingers to report on except one that hit the very bottom of pad (between pad and pants). Adjusted pants and fine since. For the money, this is a great c/a in my opinion.

Thanks kimchigoalie for the info my simmons 994 is on its way and should have it in a couple of days looking forward to trying it out. Tired of getting stingers with my old one.

I do not care for mine. I was really happy when the shoestring holding the arms to the chest section came undone during a game and I had a detached arm, completely exposing my schoulder.

I reviewed this CA when they first came out in April. Due to an error with my 993 purchase I was actually the first to receive a 994.

The review can be found here ... http://www.goalieforum.com/goalie-equipment-chat-f4/my-994-c-a-images-and-initial-review-updated-may-31st-viewposth.35869-highlight-.html#35869
