was wondering if anyone can help me. i currently am using a set of brian's 33's that i got about 15 years ago. They were the Alite air pacs.
Obviously leg pads have advanced and changed. I was wondering do todays pads really make that much differance? I see they are extended for 5 hole coverage, etc. And these leg and boot channels claim to allow for more movement especially for the butterfly.
Now, i am not as flexible as i once was. So i was interested in the Rbk Prem III 7k's in either Giguere or Turco breaks. Which would be better for me?
I am in a 9 1/2 Bauer one 75's skate
ankle to center of knee is 17"
does this compute to a 33 in Rbk?
and this plus sizing, (+1 or +2), i think i am about a 7" from knee to mid thigh for a desired extension. is this a 33 + 1 or 33 + 2? i dont really get the plus sizing even after reading other posts.
if i am way off on my calculations please let me know.
any help would greatly be appreciated,
thanks _________________ why be a monkey when you can be an ape |

The best advice you can get is if you call goaliemonkey.com or another goalie equipment retailer. You could also look at http://www.vaughnhockey.com/sizing/sizing.htm.
As far as new innovations and such, there are way too many to list. Check the forum… _________________ 38"+1 Simmons Matrix 3 Pads

| These pads are great. I've had them for about 2.5 seasons and they still have plenty of life in them except for the straps of course. They're extremely comfortable and easy to meneuver in. I had nights where i would have 2 practices and a game and i never once had discomfort. They're great pads. Highly recommend to anyone who is a big butterfly goalie like me. |

You are a 34 in Reebok pads from the Premier 3 and newer. Anything older and you are a 33. |
