|

Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to posting on this forum but have been browsing the site for a few months now. I would very much appreciate some honest insight from experience (if possible) regarding my question -
I have been using the Itech 11.8's for almost two years now and like them very much. Problem is they are 34's (+1) and I really want to step up to 35's (+1) as I am 6 ft. tall. Because I really like the Itech line, I've considered going with the 9.8's and even looked the RX7/RX9 series. However, I really like the 12.8's as they seem like the next step up from my 11.8's. The only problem is that the 12.8's are quite expensive (around $1250USD) and I'm pretty strapped for cash these days. So, I am wondering if anyone can give me a real review of the 7.8's and how they would compare to the big boys. Also, would going to the 7.8's from my 11.8's feel like a big step down?
Thank you very much for your insight on this. I really appreciate it!

| I have 12.8's...I would get those, the features are pretty close, but the qaulity is much better than the 7.8's |

the 7.8 you would be very unhappy with, as they are really striped down version of what you have. The same with RX7 vs the 9.
You have two real options. Save and pay, or switch Brands to say Smith or Simmons. going with a SR pad is not a good idea. |

Thanks guys, I kind of figured so. Didn't think the Sr. padds (RX7 or 7. could match up to what I'm used to with the Pro's I currently use, but I figured I'd get some second (or third) opinions.
I saw a pretty good review of the 12.8's on the forum and this only reaffirms my desire to get those bad boys. Honestly, if my 11.8's were 11" wide and 35" tall, I'd probably skate in them for like two more seasons!
Here's another quick question - What do you think about +2? I've never used pads of any size with a +2 but kind of curious as to how well that'd go. I believe the pro's usually have this set up, no? Thoughts? |

Don't switch to Simmons or Smiths ............
The 12.8's are worth it. I have 32+2 and they're good. I like the extra 2" |

He obviously wants to stay with Itech, so don’t harass him with other brands. He has stated that he wants a review and info about the Itech model. So either do that, or go away. _________________

| Hey thanks boys, I really do appreciate the info. My goal is 12.8 at 35+1, so that's what I'll hunt for! |

| I don't know. They just look like they look dirty and covered in puck marks, plus he signed them, only 350 of retail for those isn't worth it. It looks like something you would buy for memorbilia, not to actually use |
