I'll be trying out for my college hockey team in 1 month. Currently I have RBK 6Ks(12inch) and coach said I could try-out with those but if I make the team I will have to purchase WHOLE NEW GEAR, so I'm excited about making the team and getting new gear. HOWEVER! I'm on a tight budget, well my father is, and he said he will purchase whole new gear for me if i make the team.
I can buy RBK X-Pulse 7.0 non-Pro, so probably made in China, and this comes in a SET with glove and blocker for around $545. But I read one review and it wasn't pleasant lol. This is the cheapest goalie set I could find, and also looks GREAT would match my school colors very well. I do not want to purchase bad equipment though.
The other set I am considering is the RBK 8K "Turco Break" non-Pro which a set sells for around $710 and this is the 2nd cheapest I can find.
A little about my style: I am mostly butterfly and slide side to side often and I keep my pads nice and loose
If any one has any comments or reviews on either pads, any help would DO A LOT!!! I need to make sure I get a quality equipment so it does not hurt me. |
