Better than I remember (since I haven't owed Simmons stuff since '9Cool this is top notch stuff

Great workmanship Great protection Looks good ANd quite a bit cheaper than other brands although the US dollar keeps falling in value

Nice! I'm definitely digging the colour combos on both sets.

Leave it to RJ to notice your jock....you're definitely a SoCal boy.

Anyways, both sets look great. The 994 seems to be a popular choice on here. Smile

bah, use the 994s for roller.

As much as people think roller destroys ice gear I have found in my gear the opposite. My DS stuff has lasted forever and a day playing roller but 2 seasons of ice destroys it.

Either way I love the stuff. I have a set of 994 gloves in the same colors and white graphics on a black pad is sooooo sexy... especially with everyone and their brother wanting a white base.

All depends on the roller surface. I hear deck hockey screws it up faster than concrete.

I was trying to figure out if I needed new pads, I was invited to play in a roller hockey league in the summer/fall, and I was trying to figure out if I could use my Vaughns, or if I need to cough up more dough to get roller hockey pads...anyone know for sure what is needed?

Roller hockey on a sportcourt or sportcourt like flooring is fine to use your ice pads on IMHO. If you are going to be playing on a wood floor or concrete (even smooth concrete) floor I would find something else.

I have played a vast majority of my games on sportcourt when it comes ro roller and like I said I think ice beats pads up quicker.

I think it is a tennis court for now...and they are looking to get it resurfaced for a "sportcourt" even though to be honest I have no idea what that means haha.

Playing on sportcourt will not ruin your pads at all. Thats what I play on and there is no damage to my pads

I love my RBK stuff

Ive had my 6k pads for about 1.5-2 years and they are holding up great.
The glove is going on, maybe 3-4 years and still going on strong
