i just bought a pair of new ccm blockade pads i havnt used them in any real hockey situations yet but i will tonite so far from just putting them on they are very light and seem to be a vast improvement over my old olie pads. Since im switching from hybrid to butterfly i thought the blockade would be a good and not to mention cheaper way to go i think i only paid like 250 for them.
Ok well i played for about 2 hours today and i have to say i struggled with them im just kinda akward in them my older pads were hybrib these as u prob know are butterfly. But as i went on i seemed to get a lil better it just took a lil getting used to. I hope to have some pics of them soon. |

| I have a pair of Heaton 10's like Turco, Brodeur, Kippy, Cloutier used to wear, but the Sr. version. Am in my fourth season with them and have served me well in my college club league. Simple graphics, but the pads overall are obsolete with the advent of the butterfly/profly age of goaltending. the thigh pads were horrible, so i bought a pair of vaughn knee and thigh deals instead. The knee cradle went really thin after a while as well. They are more suited for a stand up goalie than a pure butterfly goalie. |

Since I could not find a review on these I thought I would post one.
Face view I really like the white/blue/black color combo. They are a flat face design so there are no breaks in the pads
Interior of pad The quality is some of the best I have seen in a pad. It has a 4 way adjustable knee and knee stack. I also like that they have one solid stack compared to three smaller one's like my old pads. The shin wrap can be removed and the calf wedge is awesome. It offers great support in butterfly slides. The thigh boards suck. I took a quick wrister off the knee cap because it snuck between my thigh board and knee stack. So I bought a pair of pro knee/thigh guards and they are way better than thigh guards.
I bought these pads from goaliemonkey for 400 bucks, the service was great and the shipping was fast. I will post a better review once I put some good ice time on them. They are great pads. Since rbk bought out ccm they are basically the same pad, except I think the ccm's were nicer.

Agreed! I like the look of the CCM. It is simple, but, yet catches the eye with the graphics and looks beefy. $400.00 is a great buy and I, too, like to order from Goalie Monkey. Never had any problems with them. |

The stiffness is not that bad. It is stiffer than a pad with two more breaks.
I always shove them under the table so i get a better s curve so it closes the five hole alot better. |

I had the CCM Heaton 10 34" goalie pads last year. Wrong type of pad for me. Didn't like to heavier weight of the pad too. _________________

| Thanks for the compliments. The ccm heaton pads were alot heavier. The vectors are super light and they are the same as the rbk x-pulse. Since rbk bought ccm out. They are really awesome butterfly pads and the rotation is awesome. You should do a review on those itechs. I really like that color combo. Sweet pads |
