| I am in the market for getting new Chest and Arms, I have been looking at the TPS series. I am looking at the Summit, and the Response R8. Does anybody have any thoughts on these. I am also looking at the Vaughn line, I actually am meeting with the rep to try them. Also, does anybody have their opinions on Brown c/a. |

I'm currently using the RBK goalie armour and it's top knotch in comfort, quality and protection. I've tried TPS in the past and it's also good gear. As far as brown, I'm not sure what they're like now. I used some of their old goalie armour about 6 years ago and it was good then. They've been around awhile and have produced quality gear, so I don't think you'd go wrong with either. _________________

Here's a pic of one of their new chest and arm protectors. It looks pretty good to me. It's even got a throat guard included. Brown has always made quality products, so I don't think you could go wrong with it.

| I have recently just seen the Brian Heaton Chest pads. They look nice with the rib wrap and stuff. That is my biggest problem area, I was actually thinking of sewing on lacrosse rib protectors onto mine. What do you guys think of the Brian Heatons compared to the Summits? |

The Summit is cheaper, but probably with the same quality. As far as the rib wrap, I would go with RBK. That's what I've got now. When I was looking for my armour last year I specifically wanted something that went around my body quite far. When I tried on the RBK I knew it was perfect. The sides wrap all the way around the sides so there's probably only about 5 inches across the back that isn't covered and alot of that is covered with the piece that runs from the shoulders down the spine. _________________

As John Brown himself said: "Every goalie feels the puck differently." There's no perfect chest protector. It depends on the level of protection you feel comfortable with. Some goalies get hurt by wristers in the stomach while others can get bombers in the biceps without pain. Personally, the less I feel the puck, the more I'm confident. So I went from a Vaughn Vault (very mobile, but lack of padding in some places) to a brown JB2200CA. It's very stiff out of the box, but I'm playing with it and wearing it in my house between games. It gets more comfortable and less bulky every time I use it. And it's the most protective C/A I've ever seen!
Realy worth every buck ! |

with no chest shield you gain a lot in mobillity and loose little in protection.
Im wearing the zpro and have no issue with it at all, it moves well and is comfortable. i looked hard Browns but could not pass up the price of the z pro. I just go my daugher a Brown 1750 it awesome. |
