Hey,

At 20 years old I'm new to the ice hockey goaltending world. I've always been an avid street hockey goalie and now I'm trying to make the move to rinks and pick-up hockey.

I've bought all the gear I need for goaltending, I'm just wondering what's supposed to be worn underneath the gear. What style shirt do you wear under your chest protector? What do you wear over your goalie jock and underneath of your ice hockey leg pads?

I just wear a muscle shirt and pyjama pants underneath my gear when I play street hockey, but I'm obviously not sure that's what ice hockey goalies do.

I just wear hockey socks, boxers, and a t-shirt. Whatever floats your boat i guess.

Whatever you're most comfortable with. I wear moisture wicking shirt, moisture wicking long underwear and long socks (not hockey socks). It keeps me feeling light when I'm soaked with sweat.

I go with underarmour. its comfortable, none binding and wicks the moisture away. One pair of pants lasts a good while too, tops even longer. Pants seem to be at least two seasons.

I tend to wear a lot of light underarmour gear. Compression tee (heatgear to keep cool) and i have some walmart compression pants that are kind of like underarmour. I used to wear PJ pants but they started to become a little too hot to play with when playing ball hockey.
