I'm going up to Don Simmons next week but I want to get an idea for sizing. Ive read on other forums that people with an ATK of 17.5, which is my size are wearing a 36+2 and it fits perfectly. I know different companies have different sizing but this seems like a huge jump from my RBK 8K's which are a 35"s and fit well. I was originally looking at the 34+2 but now I'm second guessing. I'm looking at the 585's and was wondering what your ATK is and the size of the pad you are using. I just want some reference for when I go up there. Thanks!

I have a feeling you well land in the same 36+2 pad in the 585, but dont worry while at DS you will be professionally fit, and then in the end know which is best between sizes. ASk questions be your own best advocate in the fitting process they will assume your comfortable with the fit unless you say something.

I have an Ankel to knee of 19 1/2-3/4" I wear straight up 38's. I will tell you as well Simmons is a great company and that going to the store you are in for a treat.

Sorry I have not been on the board for a while I have been on the road.

AS for how my pads have held up I can say nothign but good things, I ll go down and snap a pick and add it after I write this.
The catch has loads of puck marks and is broken in with no bad wear at all, the Blocker has loads of puck marks, one repair where it was cut with a skate and has wear on the leading edge from paddle down, again nothing out of the normal range.
the leg pads are perfect, I replaced the the thigh wraps because the velcro had worn out and laced back in the inner channel.

Just wondering... How did you sew the inner leg channels back in? Did you do it yourself or bring it to the shop?
