I recently purchased some Vaughn Velocity 3 7500 Pro Goalie Pads and I'm not sure what skate hole to put the bootstrap through.

FRONT OF SKATE ( 1 )( 2 )( 3 )
***************BLADE*******************

What hole do I put my strap through I've been using the 3rd hole but I was watching the olympics and Mikka Kipprosuf had Bauer pads with 2 bootstraps and he put them in the 2nd hole, I need help, whats the difference between putting it in 2 or 3?

All advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Cool

Personally I use the back hole, but have used the middle hole in the past. I find the back hole helps pull the pad back into place better when you're getting up from the butterfly.
During a warm up or practice try one pad in the back one and one in the middle one and see which you like better.

I have tried all three methods with my pad and now have gone back to a very loose through back hole. Most of the goalies I have watched this year wearing vaughns are wearing their boots straps very loose as well. Some have booth straps and wear one mid skate and one rear, I have seen both rear, but all loose.
