Okay guys I am looking for some help, I am definatly a butterfly goalie, but I just need some help, I have 8k Turco Break pads and I'm pretty small so I have to be very mobile to make the saves I need to make. I'm 14 and I am 5"5' and I use 33" pads. I know its all preference but I am wondering what my pad straps should be from the bottom to the top? But remember I do alot of lateral movements all the time.

Do you mean how tight they should be?

You pretty much nailed it when you said it's personal preference. But I have my Vaughns like this: Top one is 2 notches in, enough to give the pad a pull to help close off the 5-hole (because I'm not able to do it on my own). 2nd strap same thing. And as you move down the leg channel, they get progressively tighter.

But really you just need to play around with them until you find what works for you.

sliding toe bridge laces, tied in a couple knots that allow it more freely and are about 1/2" long leading up to the front of your skate is a good place to start
The skate strap, first try wearing it through the middle of the skate loose, if you find your missing your knee stacks tighten it up to pull the pad down a bit, and or if this feels odd and is not working try the rear hole loose then snug.
your lowest calf strap, snug the rest loose, use your knee lock.

a great way to get a good a start on how snug is snug and loose is loose to put the pads on on the loosest strapping. get in your blfly on the floor, adjust the straps so that pads are moving freely in to and out of the the brfly.
