I have been getting into playing a bit of roller hockey. I originally started out as a backup when needed for my teams goalie, but then between more play time and injuries I have taken the #1 spot and also started up on a second team. I was using a pair of vaughns and they were pretty solidly made pads. An old pair from my friend. Like everything, time breaks em down though and the belts started to wear through the leather and protection and comfort went out the window.
Being as it is only roller hockey (but decently competitive) I figured I could just get something mediocre and it would be ok. Not the case. I got a pair of Mission Boss pads and learned my lesson real fast. 2nd game the foot strap broke off. Fortunately I am a wizard with glue and I secured it. The pads have been holding up pretty good but I feel they wont be a long term fix.
So here is my question. What would be a quality pair of pads that are going to last me in the 3-500 range for sr. pads. My style is butterfly and about 5-8ish so probably 32in, maybe 33. Thanks for the assistance guys.

Through my 17 years of life I've only played roller hockey, so I think I should be able to help you out.
I've had my 6ks for about a year and a half and the only problem I've had was the toe strap ripping which, to me, was expected because I pull it ridiculously tight. Theyre great pads in my opinion for roller.
In my experience, all ice pads are good for roller as long as you take out the toe string. Im surprised that the mission pads broke so quickly because I had a pair and used them quite a lot and had no problems with them.
