My daughter is going into Atom (9-10) and needs new hockey pants, in Novice she just wore player pants. She is almost 60 inchs but weighs on 58 lbs and has a waist of 22.5 inches. I tried the nike junior pants (small) and they seemed to big but she could wear them with suspenders. She then tried a pair of youth xlarge and fit better but didnt have much padding only on the thigh ( like her player pants). I want her to have more protection as the girls in Atom are shooting the puck much harder than in Novice. Also what size would she take in a goalie Jill ( junior small or youth xl).
Are there a brand who's pants fit a little smaller than the rest i.e) Reebok. Vaughn, Bauer etc |

I like my goal pants to fit like a barrel on suspenders, just floating around me. _________________

My son is a PeeWee A and just started wearing goalie pants in his 2nd year squirt. I had the same problem and found a used pair of McKenney gpt355 jr pro , they were definitely the best fit for a 10-11 yr old. I think the extra protection was not as necessary as the increased mobility because of the larger leg opening. You also need the larger opening in order for the thigh board to fit under them which is a problem right now as we just got new pads and the thigh boards are not fitting great underneath them _________________ 2K GOALIE DAD |
