I keep watching goalies shake their hand once and drop their glove when a puck is stuck in their equipment or something. I wear mine very tight, strapped up, wrist strap real tight, so it's not going anywhere.

What do you do?

I wore my old glove loose but the 994 has a little pad for the wrist that is annoying if it does not sit right. To keep this in the right spot and with such a precise double break in the glove I need to wear it tight to the wrist.

Since I started playing with it tight I like it better. I feel like I have more control when puck handling and im not worried the glove is going to fly off on some hard shot.

It's all personal preference.
I put my trapper hand into the trapper. Then, I strap down my trapper with my blocker hand. Then, I flap the trapper a couple of times. Depending on feel, I may readjust the trapper strap. Then, I put my blocker hand into the blocker. I shove the bottom edge of the blocker on the top of my leg pad. It's a big show.
If I need to do something, like shake hands or open a door, I take off my blocker and hold it under my trapper arm and do the task with my blocker hand.

I switched to wearing a loose glove, feel it allows me to better postion my hand in the glove, and more controll. Up to this point I was a member of TIGHT club.

I used to strap it medium loose until I was playing pick-up hockey and some Div I players on break for Christmas showed up. I got hand-cuffed on a hard shot. I guess that was better than getting a stinger.

I probably wear it about medium. Too loose and I can't control it on hard shots. Too tight and I can never slide my hand out.

I wear mine as tight as I can get it. I feel like I have more control of it like that.

I'm kind of torn as to what I want to do now. I FINALLY got my Dx2 blocker in but before I had the less than mediocre 6k blocker which I had to wrench down to prevent it from turning sideways on my hand...so in order to drink water I had to wear my trapper loose so I could slip it off if I wanted a drink or to fish a puck out of my pads (happens more than I like to think about. Now that this blocker is more than perfectly sitting right where it needs to I could tighten my trapper down to give more control, but I've become so accustomed to leaving it loose that the occasional shot that spins it is offset by the ability to slip it off to flex my hand or fish a puck out or whatever I need the dexterity for. 98% of the time I have no problem with it loose while catching pucks or freezing them.

My catcher is extremely loose.
Normally I don't have much trouble with it...but I did completely lose it during a game once...the good thing was that the puck was inside my glove...so they had to blow the whistle for two reasons.

loose. i hate having my glove tight, i think you lose movement with a tight glove.i wore my gloves really loose when i played lacrosse as well so maybe it stems from that.

Same here...but the only thing that I could do was make the wrist guard smaller, I could never actually tighten it to my hands, my wrists aren't thick enough.

I too wore my 993 glove loose but it seems that tight is the way to go with this thing for me. As for my blocker though I wear it relatively loose so I can take it off quick if need be.
