| Hi! I am a new goalie. I have been playing inline roller hockey for about three weeks now. I plan on going to ice after I play inline for a while. My question is about the chest protectors out there now. I know a little about them, and I think certain people just prefer certain gear. I want to know what is a good one I should get. I am using some rental gear now ( groan ) and it sucks! Falling apart, stinky gear sucks. I have been leaning tward a Bauer Elite Sr. I have heard different things about different gear at the rink, and I wanted to get some feedback. Any input would be great! Thanks!! |

| i have a bauer performance which is a the cheaper version of the elite and it is very good. it uses velcro instead of a buckle and clip which makes it very adjustable. the chest piece and shoulder caps are very well protected and you have great mobility in it. the only complaint i have about it is the lower part of the arms ( the forarm part) has not as much protection and sometimes if it hits the right spot it stings a little but it only hurts for a second and thats it. but if you want pretty good protection with great mobility for a great price then get this.i think only $180 at goaliemonkey.com |
