Yeah, I read in the Goalie News, I can't remember which goalie, but he uses a triple-padded catch glove in practice. Shocked

Gerber, maybe. His game glove is pretty damn stiff, I can't imagine what his practice glove would be like

I saw one of these on eBay the other day, or something similar, from one of the big Toronto goalie stores. They had a picture of Carey Price wearing one. That's a pretty big endorsement, I'd say.

i bought the farrrell one the other day because I have been taking some hard shots in the collar bone area that have given me some bad bruises through my pads. I will post how it goes playing with it for a few practices.

I doubt it will do that great. And if you're facing the shot, you shouldn't be getting hit in the ribs.

There's that wonderful holier than thou attitude I was talking about.

That's obvious, you don't need to make a statement like that.

When playing out, I hated wearing shoulder pads. I also played defense so there is often times when a puck would come up and hit me. I have a shirt I bought for roller hockey players (most of them don't wear pads) that works very well. It's not going to stop all pain/damage, but it does do it's job to reduce that pain/damage.

I was going to look at the pants that have thigh protection in them as well.
