I am considering wearing weights for various practices. I am weighing glove, blocker and leg pads. I am hoping that with any luck it will give that sensation of when you get new quicker/lighter gear, with actually getting new gear. Has anyone ever tried this or had any success? Any ideas what is the best way to weigh the gear without altering the gear or sacrificing mobility/flexibility? Should I do it for a warm-up before the game? Is it dangerous to attempt this?
I am interested in your thoughts on the matter? |

| True, the last thing I need is to pull or injure something. I think I am going to start with just the arms and see if there are any advantages. I am thinking of putting 2-5 pound soft weights on the back of my forearms so not to interfer with the protection of the arm pads. I'll post if there is any success or if there is a drastic failure. |
