That was'nt really because he was tall. He knocked the net over because he skated into the net. Any goalie could have done that.

im 6'10'' 240lbs 42''+1 pads i use size 13 skates i was wondering if any of you taller goalies get the problem of accidentally pushing the net off moorings all the time. the crossbar gets in the way alot so i have to play an especially low position and i have great difficulty with passes when im deep in my net i get burnt

I've got you buy almost 100lbs and am 9" shorter. I push the net off constantly! I also started as an adult, so I don't have any technique at all. The one thing I have going for me is that I was a catcher my whole life, so I have a great glove, and have the general positioning to play goalie. Develop your own style and don't worry about trying to fit the mold of what everybody else is doing. Do whatever feels comforable for you to keep the puck in front of that line. Again, positioning is the key. Come out and use your size to make the shooter make an unbelieveable shot to beat you.

i do not butterfly, i'm pretty much a flopper, with a mean glove. i do alot of 1 leg flashes and 2 pad stacks. i'm pretty fast, and very athletic. i also don't play against professionals either, my limit of skill is about an adult c league at the most.
