I'm 6'3" 220 and I don't have too much trouble with the net coming off. I guess over time I have adjusted my stance to compensate. I hate getting pushed back while in the butterfly and having my head hit the cross bar. Other than being a big guy you should look for a stance or position that uses your size to your advantage, or get a team that backchecks and you should be ok.
I ordered a team that backchecks but the company put it on backorder and now they won't return my calls. I guess I shouldn't have put down a deposit? Laughing

dude im 6'5" 230 lbs and i knock the net off all the time Rolling Eyes all the refs know me for it. its partially my inexperience but it also has to do with the fact that when im in butterfly i can almost touch both sides otfthe net. (about 2 or 3 inches to spare)

I would totally use that to my advantage Laughing If it's a 6-5 advantage with a minute left, your team's up a goal and there's a chance in front... I'd kick off the net on purpose Laughing
