When I was in 8th grade, my High School created an ice hockey team. At the time, I was the only goalie in the district, so I had to start on the varsity team. In order to get me ready to make such a large jump in competition level, my coaches made me do all kinds of stuff. The thing that I felt helped a lot with my confidence was having my dad shoot on me in the garage. I would just put on some old pads, set up a net, and take shots for about an hour a night. If I was struggling in an area (like my glove hand), I'd have him focus on that. Obviously, it wasn't as good as being on the ice, but since I could only get on twice a week, this helped me stay sharp.
The key to this exercise is just constantly have a feel for getting hit with shots and focusing on seeing shots constantly. I would recommend this for any young goalie with limited ice time. |

Walking to lose weight is a simple but powerful method that can help with your long term weight loss goals. Walking is a natural, safe and enjoyable exercise that can be done in almost any environment. While it doesn’t burn up calories as quickly as strenuous activities such as running, jogging or riding a bicycle, it can be surprisingly effective. To counter these inevitable problems, men can now take recourse to natural enhancement products that are being introduced ad nauseum in the market. Shelves are lined with different products such as gels, creams and supplements that promise to make you rock hard and perform like a stud. As an alternative medicine, these products are proving to be very popular as men, who are reluctant to consult their doctors, can now get as much information as possible on their problems and seek help by choosing the right investment. You can learn simple but effective ways to increase ejaculation volume.

Your right that is a simple effective way to help get you ready, seeing faster harder shots and lots of them helps. AS long as you worked equally hard on your fundementals of form, positioning and angles. _________________

Pro goalies do this all the time - they will attack problem areas by isolating the situation and shot. ie. If they are getting beat when trying to butterfly slide from blocker to glove side, they will repeat the drill at practice until the kinks are worked out.
A real goalie warmup will go the same way - the tender will sit in the middle of the crease and players will fire X number of shots low glove, then x number low blocker, x number to the 5, etc...Maintenance will be done as necessary. |

| when i was playing on a traveling team we had practice twice a week. First practice i would be with the team and the second i would be on the other rink with a goalie trainer. For 2 hours i had the trainer and he would teach me different techniques for staying in shape, flexability, and stamina. The one drill that still is stuck in my head is at the face off circles he had 5 pucks goin on an angle towards center ice. He would take 5 and his friend would take the other 5. after he took a shot i would have to slide across the crease and block that shot and keep doing it till i stop all of them. If i miss one they would do it all over again. |
