they started out as dog toys I believe but ended up as training devices (forgive me if these are posted already, I didnt read all the pages... tired)

Get in your stance, drop the ball, it bounces various directions, you grab it before it hits the ground... improved reaction and hand eye coordination... cost $10, found at most sports stores.

Also, a easy way to improve vision... hold your finger out in front of you, or a pen or something small within 2-3 feet of your field of vision... then pick out something else to look at across the room... alternate from focusing on the thing across the room and the thing in front of you... this will help build your eyes reaction time to changing depths (ie pucks coming from the corner to the point or front of the net, deflections, etc)

I used to go down to the batting cages with my c/a, glove and blocker and just pump a roll of quarters into the machines... yes, it looks odd, but you can see everything from 40 mph shots to 90 mph shots and you have to react as the ball is not in the same place every pitch

yah i have one of these...and what i do is go outside onto my driveway or patio thing...and chuck this against the wall, so that after it hits the wall, it bounces in front of you before it's within reach. Start out farther away from the ball but then move closer as catching the balls become easier.

haven't tried the alternating focus thing, i'll have to give it a try Smile
