yea im in the process of learning how to stick handle better too. i just started being able to lift the puck. it sucks cuz the stick i have now ways a ton. also when i mess around with a players stick im a full right handed player. but as a goalie i am a lefty (glove on left hand) so really im learning how to stick handle all over again

It wasn't very hard for me to learn how to stick handle left handed, even though I'm right handed. I'm ambidextrous. Even in baseball I switch hit. As a defense man I often turned my stick around and cleared the puck left handed when I had to go into the left wing corner.

yea very much so but i played baseball and my glove hand was always on my left so i cant afford to give up my glove because i count on it too much.

My stick handling isn't bad, it's my shooting that needs work. I can't seem to get enough power on it, it's those dinky little passes that get picked off all the time.

it is the same with me. I can handle the stick but i just don't have enugh power to pass it to the player.

a thing i learned from some time spent with other goalies, use the blocker hand at the top to steer the puck, use the lower hand simply to push forward. that's it, and dont worry about lifting the puck. if you can make a nice pass up to the defensemen you team will love you for it.

Yeah, but it will get there faster if you lift it. Just get behind the shot and saucer it, don't flip it.

I used to have the same problem, but i heard about the new turco style and decided to give it a go...IMO it's easier to give solid hard passes, and u can also saucer it if u wish...

yeah, i used that before i knew turco actually did. i think i have the best shot of the goalies on the team. i get it about 1-2 feet up, but its faster than the other kids. and im really the only one that actually plays the puck behind the net
