HURRY!!!!! HURRY HARRRRRRD!!!!!!!

Curling FTW! Hockey FTW! Skeleton FTW! Ice dance FTMFL!

When I travel overseas I tell them I'm Canadian too.

And I remember when I was 170 and trying so hard to get to 200. Then when I finally got there, I guess I just forgot to stop.

But I'm in great shape... I'm round.

I have the body of a God.... Buddah.

5'11, 142, wow you're tiny.

6'4" 200.6 lbs.

I plan on almost 1 pound a week of muscle.

How old are you goalieboy? Cause really if you're weight lifting proper, you should be able to gain .5-1 pound a week. But that's some heavy lifting, pushing yourself till you can't go anymore.

goalie boy, nice to know i'm not the only one... i'm 5'9" and range from 145-150.... but 5'11" and 142... that's... skinny

one of these days they'll figure out it's us short ones that make the best goalies. Takes too long for those tall guys to move around. *cough itech cough* and way too long for those fat guys =P

Not that this is really "Gym" related...but there's a tradeoff I was trying to explain to my little brother. The big guys (i.e.-anyone over 5'11") cover far more space and thus don't have to move as quickly while the short guys (obviously anyone under 5'11") can move faster but also HAVE to move faster. Personally I think I'm a good balance when I'm healthy. I'm quick, I'm big and if I can ever get my technique to be more solid, I'd be a wall. Look at guys like Conklin and Khabibulin. They're great examples. Oh, and Kiprusoff. Just don't look at us like we're all a bunch of Olaf Kolzigs out there...that guy is the perfect example of a bad tall goalie.

I'm 14, with a trainer... But I only work out once a week, until I get one in my house.

dang dude, i don't watch curling at all man. it's just shuffle board on ice to me.

If curling was on tv in the US we'd all get off of our fat asses and exercise. Is there a correlation between lower bmi amongst Canadian men and bad sports tv? I'm just kidding, please don't shoot.

Read a news article on 'designer' babies. Supposedly a doctor claims that he can (or will soon be able to) let parents pick eye color and hair color for their kids.

Realize that sooner or later, they will design a baby specifically to play net.

Oh and Kolzig has 1 cup final appearance where he absolutely dominated in the playoff. Better than most 'tall goalies' out there.

Roy, Brodeur, Luongo, Khabibulin...Did he really dominate better than all of these guys?

brodeur is average height. Listed at 6'1" so really around 6'0"... Luongo is a good argument i'll give you that, Roy... put me on his Aves team and they would've made me an all star goalie. Roy was an all time great, but lets face it, whiny, whiny bitch and wouldn't have had anywhere near the #'s he did if he hadn't had the teams skating in front of him that he did.

Khabby had one good playoff in Tampa and then has played like crap in Chicago... until Huet came in to steal his job.

But keep in mind when you look at those listed #'s, those are an inch (occasionally 2 for the particularly short goalies that need to get noticed) over their real height.

Slinky I was making a reference to Kolzig's one good playoff appearance...so the fact that Khabby had one good playoff which resulted in a cup win is somewhat the point I was trying to make. The statement is that tall goalies (goalies over 5'11") need don't need to be as fast as small goalies (5'11" and shorter) because they cover larger areas.
