Closer to 1" is duller, I use 3/8" so I have more "bite" than most.

this always confused me cause when it went from 5/8 to 3/4 mine definetly got sharper, but someone said it might be the angle of my skates or somethin tho

I've had more than one person sharpen my skates cause of when i go out of town n stuff...so that can't be it
