Couldn't agree more about basketball. It's just 10 guys with growth issues having a "I'm-Taller-Than-You" or "I-Can-Jump-Higher" competition. They need a doctor, not a basketball.
Football I enjoy watching. The arms on QBs are amazing. Try throwing a football 60 yards... now try throwing it 60 yards and putting it over a guy's left shoulder and as he's in full stride.
Baseball I like because you can watch it drunk, and it's slow enough you won't miss a damn thing. I really enjoy listening to the announcers. They've turned it into an art form, mostly out of demand. It's virtually the only way to keep people watching for long stretches. If baseball announcers hadn't gotten good at their jobs, they'd be out of the job. |
Isn't that true of anyone with a job?
On a seperate note though, it's kind of ironic that a thread split from an off topic discussion in another thread has grown to what...3 pages now? That's craziness. |

legit point. i meant that if they hadn't gotten good at it, baseball would've failed on tv and there wouldn't be a job there at all. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

| Oh man, speaking of...my step-dad loves baseball and the Tigers so he's got the DVD of all their world series appearances and the announcers from the 50s when they just hit the TV...AMAZING! I wish those guys announced for all the sports. The sounded like they were calling a 2-0 breakaway for a hockey game and all it was was a RBI or something relatively boring. |

tigers baseball... could've been the first playoff RBI in 25 years. Think how excited you'll be when you see an Avalanche goalie stop a hockey puck in May again. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

The comments may possibly be the only good thing. Though i don't like it either. The way you hate basketball i do despise baseball. You know the reasons. In addition to it i got some pay tv over here just to watch some games in good quality than online streaming. so here we go: right now they really broadcast some "World Classic" Bullshit all the week rather than hockey. I'm so fuckin' upset you can't believe. No live hockey for more than a week. I can go with NCAA Hoops but not at all baseball. That's way too much.
So as I said I pretty much like Basketball. I've been playing for years by now after two years ago my idiot club decided to cut off payment for the basketball section. Or in simple words: we got thrown out. But anyways. I enjoy playing hockey far more. I love it. And i love catching right(just to get back on topic) |

lol. i tried it once to see what it was like. (playing full right). I didn't dislike it, but I definitely prefer catching left. It just seems more natural, but that could be because i've been doing it that way for 12 years... _________________ Because it hurts so good.
