Didn't see a thread, so I started one.
GET RID OF THEODOREEE! Okay, he didn't play horrible tonight, but after that 4th goal, it had been 4 goals on 20 shots! If they lose this series, it'll be because of the goaltending. |

| Oh, and Ovie was amazing. At one point the shots were 11-3 for the Caps, and Ovie had 5 or 6 of the shots. The guy's a tank. |

| Theo sucked for Montreal, he sucked for the Avs, and he sucks for Wash...Washington has great skaters though, so it's kind of like Detroit's goaltending situation. |

You would think at one point the goalie would be somewhat consistent, but no. I'm fully expecting this to be a 7 game series with him being the biggest factor.
He'll be on fire on Saturday, and cold after that. And my brother would NOT stop yelling in my ear about how NYR won, even though I was trying to take a nap. |

Run down a hotel hallway in a bathing suit after Boston wins. Maybe I'll make him that bet for the Rangers/Caps game on Saturday too. |

bathing suit hallway running isn't that fun. if you lose the bet, be sure there's a video too
Washington's defense is horrendous. They were at their own faceoff dots with the puck in the NYR end half the time. (a little exaggeration)... Theodore was pretty bad too though. I didn't get to see it, (watched excellent pitts-philly and vanc-st louis games), but the replays showed a pair of goals from well outside, with no screen and lots of vision and a short-sided goal. Theodore has to make those saves for Washington to advance, and he has got to get his defense to step up and not let the opponent shoot while in full stride. The goalie is the defensive quarterback and it's HIS job to get HIS defense playing how HE wants them. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

There may be a video if Boston loses, not sure if I'd be willing to post that though
The whole first period, Caps dominated. Theo only had 3 shots against, and one of them was a long dump-in that went on net. And he didn't even look that steady for the other 2, he looked like he couldn't control any rebounds. Complete opposite at the other end, where you had Lundy holding onto everything.. |

Varlamov is starting in goal for the Caps. I'm watching the game right now and the score is 1-0 for the Rangers. Drury's back in the NY lineup. _________________

that was a good game. rangers and caps are making me look like a genius picking the rangers over the caps before the playoffs even started. lundqvist is on fire... but he plays so deep in his crease w/ the butterfly, they have got to start cutting the middle and taking shots up high from the top of the slot _________________ Because it hurts so good.

One inch this way, and Ovie scores on that shot that he rang off the post. 1-1 game, and Washington has momentum.
Frustrating to watch. I hope Varlamov starts again though, you definitely can't blame that goal on him. |

| Our entire game is based on 1" or even moreso 1/2" directional changes. As it was said in Mighty Ducks most accurately about his post ringer, "Yes, but 1" the other direction and you would've missed completely." |

Do you think Theodore, Budaj, Raycroft, Emery and all those guys hear the comments and know the other team is saying "Just shoot from anywhere, he's terrible. The puck will go in if we just put it on net... don't worry about quality" like teams do in rec leagues and stuff? _________________ Because it hurts so good.

| I think they hear it more than anyone in a rec league. In a rec league it's just the other team saying it. In the pros...EVERYONE is saying it. Hell my Mom was talking about how the Wings can just shoot from their goal line and score on Raycroft...and she doesn't know a slap shot from a foul shot. |
