Watching Ray Bourque hoist the cup in 2001 for the first time and announce his retirement.
And, his son just got drafted by the Rangers yesterday! |

Mine?
Having our local tournament finals go into a shootout. My team lost, but considering it went to 7 shooters aside and my team couldn't score once... it was pretty amazing.
And probably my diving stick save this year.
In NHL, probably seeing Dallas win game 6 in triple OT last year. I stayed up for the whole game.
In all of hockey? Watching team Canada come back to tie the Russian team with about 5 seconds left, then take it in OT to move on |

hmm, kinda reminds me of my super saturday. It was 0-0 in the third then we were down 1-0 (The puck hit my stick and bounced over it) then with about a minute to go we tied it. Then we went into 4 overtimes and i got scored on by a lucky bounce and a pretty good deke. I talked to the scorer after, he said that was one lucky goal if he has ever seen one. _________________

Watching Montreal Win the cup in '93, not as the most skilled team, but a team that was just that, a team.
Montreal coming 1st in the Eastern Conference, when predicted to be one of the last. Then beating Boston in 7 games.
Watching Montreal come back from 5-0 and winning 5-6 SO
Making a Major midget AAA team at 15
Making Junior A (OJHL) as the only 16 year old, first tryout.
Being considered for the OHL priority selection (or whatever it was called back then) _________________

So you were close, but no cigar to be the next Price...I'm actually sorry to hear that. but at least it gave you a run for your money, in a good way. _________________

Yeah, I was close to getting to the OHL, but that was pretty much it. If I would have gotten in, I would have been a 7th rounder, and probably wouldnt even have got to play, but it would have been cool. _________________

But at least you could say you played OHL.
Closest I came was Jr. A in the states for a team that ended up getting moved to lord knows where. Ended up they only took 3 goalies from the camp...and I was number 4. Not bad for a first year goalie though. It's been all downhill for me since. |

I'm suprised it wasn't seeing Hasek getting pulled in last year's playoffs. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/JustVeejProductions

Hm, got a few.
My interest in hockey really took off during the Stars Cup run in '99-don't think I'll ever forget that game 6 against Buffalo, the parade and celebration, and the way it changed this city.
Best playing moment yet was the 1st round of the playoffs my 1st season. The rink forgot to schedule our refs, so we got 90 minutes of free ice. We decided to scrimmage, and my #4 team beat the #1 team 7-5. The next week we played the actual game and won 2-1. One of their top players told me later that I had the whole team frustrated. I think I'm still cruising off that one.
Another memorable one was an intense 1-1 game that went through 11 shootout rounds. We finally scored for the win, but since the other team had the final shot, it made me look really good. _________________

First shut out. No doubt. Came against a team in 5th that needed to beat us by one goal to make it to national qualifiers. The team were so angry towards the end of the game and a guy slid straight into me and wouldn't get off my arm. Took my catcher off and they slid it out to halfway and the refs missed it.
Afterwards the other team agreed to get a photo in the background with me holding the game puck.

| I've never had a shutout because I've only played on a team 4 times...and the team was below sub-par...thank you piss poor officiating, a cold, and no defense. |
