Fernandez will most likely start, Rask is 21 and isn't experianced. But it was a bad deal on the Bruins side, although I have no idea what happend to Raycroft after his rookie season. He was unbeleivable his first season, he looked like he would be a great player, now he's just a solid starter. But Canadian_man_44 Huet and Denis are mediocre, Halak isn't solid he could use a year or 2 in the minors, and Price still needs to develop. Maybe they'll do better in goaltending later on but not this season.

After the way Huet gave the Canadiens a chance to compete in pretty much every game he played in last season, how could you say he was mediocre. The whole team shut down in front of him after the all star break. In that position you can't expect any goalie to win.
As for Denis, he hasn't really been given the chance. A couple seasons ago he got a few starts early in the season in Montreal and showed very well.
Halak....Halak.....Halak.. What more do I need to say. This young goalie stepped into an impossible situation and played amazing, despite the other players on the team shutting down. Huet gets the injury, Halak steps in and plays his heart out. If it wasn't for him the Habs wouldn't have been competing for a playoff spot right up to the last game of the season.
As for Price, I've said time and time again, they should keep him in the AHL for one more season before they bring him up to the big club. I'm hoping they don't try to bring him along too fast. IMO he'll be an amazing asset to this team in the future, but, that being said, if the goaltending situation in Montreal hasn't figured itself out by the midpoint of this coming season, we may see Price step in to try to save the day.
What I mean by the bolded part above is, hopefully Carbo will be smart enough this year to actually pick a starting goaltender before training camp is over and go with him. Last year must have been hard on both goalies not knowing if they would be playing the next game or not. It was almost pathetic how Huet would come out and play his heart out one game to get the 2-1 win after stopping 37 or 38 shots allowed by an often pathetic defense, then next game he'd be riding the bench and Abby would be playing. No goalie can handle that kind of a situation, IMO. Anyway, it's Carbos second season as head coach. Hopefully this year he's got his head on his shoulders instead of stuck up his butt where it was when he was still putting an unproductive Samsonov and a lazy Kovalev on the ice while hardworking players like Lapierre sat on the bench waiting for a chance to play for 20 seconds. Evil or Very Mad

You can like the B's all you want. They're a team with a history, which is more then I can say for a lot of these expansion teams. I'd rather a person cheer for a team like the Bruins or the Wings then go for someone like the Preds. OOPS, I probably just opened a whole other can of worms with that one. Wink

Sorry, I missed one part of this post the first time through montreal. I would tend to agree with you about Breezer. He had 38 points last year and was +1. If he plays like that this year, at least he won't be a liability. I just hope if Breezer or any other player on the team doesn't play up to their potential this year that they have enough guts to let them go.

I was just excited to see them play, big deal if they win or lose, although I would very much prefer them to win
