we gave him millions to score, thats all he had to do score , and get points. Did he do that NO. He sucked all year long, while we were paying him millions. do you know who we could have got with that money? Ill tell you who, someone with consistent talent , thats who.
But i thnak the black hawks for talking this " problem " of our hands. _________________

Well no brier for montreal, im kinda glad that we didnt get him, for that money im glad we didnt get him. 52 million for 8 years? I dont think he's worth that. But another bone head move by the flyers. I wonder who montreal will get now? Drury, Gomez, i dont know. I just want MTL to do something good.
what do you guys think about brier and the flyers? _________________

Cmon gainy start doing somthing! This is brutal crap. Miss out out on every big name UFA , what are you waiting for? you have the money start using it to the help the team. You always say that you're looking for more offence talent, and a strong d man , Then start getting them. you say " i dont want to over pay someone " well that seems to be the only way of getting talent gainy. The only way you will be able to build you're team is if you get talent from trade. Nowone want to be on a bad team. They will only come in if you have a good team, or if you offer some money. Montreal just missed out agian. They might aswell sigh Surray, beacause there nothing left on the taple exept for ryan smyth, forseberg, and karia . They better take one of them. All they'll do this year is take the crappy left overs.
if he doesnt make any big moves over the offseason that montreal will be brutal this year. You can't win without change. _________________

Yeah, I don't know what he's waiting for. Of course, with the salary cap rising to 50.3 million he should be able to resign Souray if he wants to. Just a couple of trades in the off season and they'll be ready for the start of the 2007/2008 season.
It would be nice if they'd pick up Ryan Smith though. They could let Souray go and sign Smith for 6 million a season. Probably never happen, but, with most of the other good UFAs gone, I guess he'd be the next one on my wish list. _________________

smyth and karia are out of the question now. only forsberg.
i would be suprised if they get him. although they could pick up bertuzzi, sydor, and ad forsberg. they can't expect bertuzzi to want much. not to sure about how much sydor will want. and forsberg had a bad season last year. so they might save a little money, while getting an alright deal. if they have enough money they could re-sign souray and have sydor and Souray on a line, or Souray and Markov. . they could have
bertuzzi, higgins, and koivu. Then forsberg, Plekanec, and Kovalev.
Sydor, and Souray. or Sydor and Markov . or Sydor and Bouillon . _________________

Basically he came to Montreal with all the hype that surrounds the acquisition of a player of his caliber. Montreal payed him a huge salary for a year in which he did absolutely nothing. He had a few good games, but, didn't produce for the rest of the year. Then, when the coach tried him on another line, he went crying to the media that he wanted to play on the line with Kovalev. To make a long, boring story short, he was placed on waivers and wasn't picked up by anyone. That should tell you something. _________________

well the canadiens made a cuple moves , they got smolinski, and kostopoulos. Not bad singings at all. I think this shall boost MTL up . All we have to do is trade some players for a scoring forward. That will help our 5 on 5 play alot. _________________

You're forgetting Roman Hamrlik. As far as their needs, they've got some young guys that they brought up towards the end of last season that showed a lot of talent. I think they'll be allright. You're right though, a good scoring forward(preferbly a second line center) would really do them good. _________________

| i think when ever you bring up players from the minors they usually show promise because they are husseling and fighting so hard to get the job.. they have something to prove so they always seem to play well or play harder.. thats my opinion atleast... |
