Habs fans should be happy, even though it was the Isle they played. Habs played very well and Halak aside from his blooper did very well with so few shots on net.

I'm just happy at this point that they won a game by more then one goal. Laughing

The team played well as a whole tonight. Good defense, good puck control in the offensive zone, good goaltending(except on the one Isle's goal) and not too many stupid penalties....just the one Gill took. Bergeron is also fitting in nicely and showed signs of becoming the missing link on their power play. Speaking of the power play, 2 goals in 5 chances. It's really nice to see that. I'm happy with the outcome for sure.

The PP definitely did well tonight but it's hard to tell if the powerplay is actually clicking or if it was just because the other team sucked. We shall see though. At least you didn't lose to the Isles.

Good lord. Get rid of the "Where's Waldo?" jerseys.

I like them, for retro jerseys.. Not the best, but better than some.

I thought for a minute the refs were playing. I had no idea what was going on till the TV announcer said "And the Habs with possibly the worst alternate jersey's ever..."

Those were terribad.

TSN

It's one of the announcers I've heard on their before when they were doing the highlights.

Regardless of what the jerseys were, they were terrible looking.

Those retro jerseys are a bit too retro. I don't know who in the upper levels of the Canadiens organization approved that for an alternate jersey. They wore them in the 2007-08 season too.

Those jerseys were modeled off prison uniforms they thought the Kostysins might be in with all that was going on last season. Laughing

Possibly the ugliest jerseys I've ever seen(outside of Boston and Toronto). They look more like PJ's to me.

Excellent game by Carey Price tonight. He had a lot of great saves, especially in the second period where he stopped 17 shots.

Nice shootout goal by Cammalleri as well.

Honorable Mention goes to Tim Thomas. This guy is an amazing goalie. Too bad he plays for the Booins. Laughing

You've gotta compliment the refs. I'd never heard of any of them before and they did a good job making the calls tonight like the disallowed goal by the bruins. The shootout was nice to see Price so confident too.

You're right there. The refs did a great job....on both disallowed goals. One disallowed for each team and the correct call each time. Only one call messed up the whole game as far as I could see. They call high sticking on Latendresse when it should have went to Plekanecs. Not that I'm gonna complain though. I'd much rather have Pleks on the ice during a penalty kill situation. Laughing

lol the funniest part about that call was listening to Piere Macguire absolutely speechless when he watched the replay.

I was shocked they caught the holding the stick on Latandresse (sp?) and the cross check in front of Carey Price. They really did a good job tonight though. Good game too, I love shootouts and I loved seeing Carey Price as confident as he was.
