See, if that happens in our games, everyone else would get penalties too. Laughing

Laughing Our team is good at not retaliating... I seem to be an exception, so it's a good thing it happened at the other end. Iw as standing out at the hashmarks ready to skate down the ice and get involved Laughing

It means something to HIM, and that's all that really matters. Otherwise, what would be the point in playing?

My league means shit all in the long run, but we take it a little seriously while it lasts.

I wouldn't get on your high horse, auburn Laughing It really doesn't take much to play varsity high school hockey. And the only reason scouts come to Maine high schools is because of teams like Thornton Academy, Biddeford, Falmouth, and Kennebunk. And if you make the all-star game they scout that out, some.

Since this is an issue on here on what really 'matters' I'll give my take on it. Juniors and High School are pretty well publicized within the state and region, in the state, anyways. And Tier I Midgets, U16 and U18 are locally publicized. Anything under Midget, unless it makes it past regional play, doesn't get mentioned. As well as adult leagues and Tier II and Tier III Midget, and house leagues.

To the local media and the younger people, high school and junior games are considerably of a higher interest to them than the adult leagues and house leagues, and those games of higher interest get written about in the paper and talked about in the news. So the main thing is, people around the country will catch wind of the junior national championships and the high school state championship, and they won't hear about the Midget Tier III league championship or the Men's League Championship. And high school and juniors draw fans, and the adult and house and a lot of other leagues don't.

But when it does come down to it, it doesn't matter how much other people care about the level of hockey you're playing, whether they care or don't care about how your team does, you still want to win. So the level of importance is different for everyone, but for the players on that team it is pretty important to get wins and do well

They can't be that great if they aren't even listed on the San Diego State University website Rolling Eyes
