I told my dad that I wanted Luongo to come back in and Sundin to sign with us for xmas, half my wish has come true, i'd say that's a good start _________________ Pads-Simmons 993. (995's are on the way)

| I don't want to be a dick, but he's -5 with two goals and an assist after 8 games. Was it worth the wait? |

Epic Fail IMO. He's just going to walk back to the leafs after this season anyway. _________________

Wow, so quick to judge! He hasn't played in 9 months, and he's only played 9 games, if he continues to fail after about 15 games.. then my doubt will start to set in. The biggest mistake was being so patient with him, it was a little to late in the season to be starting out.
Also, you've got to remember, there's nothing lost here.. no trades.. addition without subtraction. We've even still got cap room. |

I don't know, 5.626 million for a mid-season hire of a great player that is out of shape. I've just never been a fan of the out-of-retirement mid-season come-back. Niedermayer and Selanne didn't do it this year because of the problems from trying it last year. Sharks are doing it with Lemieux, but he did a conditioning stint in the AHL and doesn't look like a detriment to the team when he's out there.(I admit it's been 4 whole games and he's on the fourth line)
It just seems that Vancouver should try to bust a trade to fix their Blue-liner problem. Luongo is going to kill himself trying to make up for that shitty defense. |

I'm starting to doubt the guy a little bit. Yah i think waiting this long was proly not so good. _________________ Pads-Simmons 993. (995's are on the way)

If players are gonna retire, retire for good. don't change your mind a couple months later. _________________

| Yeah agreed. I never understood why you'd come back...it's like...premature...yeah. Older guys get it. Point is you can't make your big goodbye then come back, make your big goodbye then come back blah blah. Stay gone. Didn't work for Lemieux, Hasek or Favre (sorry for crossing sports to make the point) so just don't do it. You'll be missed, but please stay gone. |

LOL, it would be nice if you guys knew what you were talking about.
He didn't "retire" he just didn't sign until December. |

I wasn't referring directly to Mats Sundin. I was being general. _________________
