I would probably pay more attention to their team if that WAS still their logo. |

| That captain highliner logo was brutal. And the jerseys they had back then were even worse. Maybe i'm just biased because i think their new retro one's are some of the nicest in the league |

i like the islanders as a franchise... but their team is atrocious, and has been for a while. First thing they need to do is bring back Captain Highliner. Perhaps the best logo in NHL history.
If they do move to Kansas City or Las Vegas (everytime i say those cities, I can't help but think, "Gary Bettman is such a f*in moron")... i say they still keep the Islanders.... who cares if there's not an island within 1000 miles. _________________ Because it hurts so good.

I don't think it's a great logo, nor do i think it's a terrible one. It's alright and if i had the chance i'd probably get a jersey of that time. but that will apparently never happen as long as i am more than 6000 km away from new york or whatever city in the us.
Anyways, last 10 games show they are still able to win. But they are not constant for maybe two decades or even longer. It's somehow impossible to predict any of the following season as a good one. I'm not quite sure but haven't they had a short "streak" at the end of last years season too? Then again they blow the scoreboard... |

At this point in the season they should stop trying to win and try to lock up that first overall draft pick.
Actually, nevermind. They can keep winning, then my Coyotes can have the first pick |

You are right. This is not the appropriate point of the season to get back on track or better to say to get on track... |

How about Mannino last night. First NHL start and he stops 40 of 42 to beat the Blackhawks 4-2.
With McDonald and Danis both playing really good now and Mannino comin up, the Isles might look at unloading the Rick. Not that anyone would take on that ridiculous contract of his |

I definitely agree with you on Danis! He has been outstanding so far. But Mannino? Yes, he has been great last night. But honestly you can't judge him by one game. We'll see how he's gonna perform. I think he will get some more chances after last nights game.
I'd like to see DiPietro back on the ice... But I really wonder if he is ever gonna stay healthy a full season in his career. And yes, his mammoth contract will be antagonizing for any interest |

Just like detroit, vancouver, the rangers, maple leafs and any other NHL team.... The point of this link should have been the logo... And having made up european fanbase as well has nothing to do with relegation... |

So then explain why this should be any type of relegation? |

Because we gave the team that's sub-par to you Europeans? I don't know, I'm just saying you're the one defending the Islanders from a bad perspective. Personally I like the Islanders because of Joey MacDonald... |

What's the bad perspective I'm arguing from? Actually I was not saying that they are performing good or have done good trades in the last couple of years. I am quite aware they have been pathetic... But that needn't dissuade me from having a sympathy for them.
Joey MacDonald has a pretty good contender in Yann Danis IMO... |
