I'm really liking the sound of this 18-year-old goalie, looks like he could be good in the next few years.

That would be cool...The only famous hockey players I actually saw/met before they were famous were...PO Michaud (Harvard) and Jimmy Howard (Grand Rapids Griffins)

That would be him. His helmet has the signature "Besko" on the front.

I've met Jimmy Howard before, at a Griffins game.

I also met Ryan Miller a few times back in his college days, he came to my school to support reading and stuff.

Either way I met Ryan Miller.

Had the privilege of attending the Stars' season opener last Friday! Cool It was terrific, except that they lost. Sad Got some great pics, including this one of Tobias Stephen, who seems to have established himself in the backup spot. Looked great in warmup, it'll be interesting to see how he does.

Some of the rookies had some hilarious entrances when they were introducing the team. First James Neal jumped through the star onto the ice and almost did a faceplant when he tripped, then when Tobias Stephen came out he DID actually fall down.

Ok, so we had tickets to the Stars game on 2/11, and we switched them to 2/6 vs. the Rangers. SO glad we did, it was awesome!! Cool Have to feel some empathy for the Rangers' Valiquette, since Lundqvist's illness prevented a goalie change, but it was hardly ALL his fault. In over 10 years of watching the Stars, I've never seen them score 10 (I'm sure it's happened, but I don't remember). The place was ROARING the entire 3rd period. GO STARS!!!
