Avs topple the wings 6-5 after shootout! WOOT! Now, not only do my Avs have hopes of getting back into playoff contention, I don't have to suffer months of humiliation because the Wings beat the Avs! Raycroft was absolutely solid and didn't fall for a single deke. All of the GA on him were solid deflections/screens. Osgood thank god can't say the same. Allowing 4 weak goals allowing the Avs to fight for a 5-5 score into overtime and finishing strong with a 6-5 shootout win!
Here's the recap by the people paid to do them:

Go Avs
I didn't catch any of the game, I had the live broadcast window open up on my computer... then I got tired of it |

....................So now you see why Osgood is a first ballot hall of famer. How we could we possibly lose to the AVALANCHE!!The team we beat 7-0 in 2002 . _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/JustVeejProductions

For the Avs this season, beating Detroit isn't the problem. It's beating everyone else.
Losing Sakic and Stastny doesn't help either.
I have also heard that they are shopping Ryan Smyth... |

First of all, Veej, stop living in the past. The Avs took the cup in 2001...so saying like I told someone today...think forward because thinking back doesn't do you any good at all.
And I haven't heard any rumors about Smyth but I sure hope not...Foote and Smyth are about the only producers the Avs have left right now. |

| Avs go up against the Devils and their newly healed Marty Brodeur...As much as I want to see Brodeur play amazing, I'm hoping the Avs can still pull this one out... |

| Yeah, sucks...I would've preferred 1-0 but lets face it. Avs lack scoring, defense and most painfully...goaltending. It's good that Marty got a s/o his first game back...I bet he beats Roy's record this year. How awesome would that be...miss more than half the season and come back to be the winningest goalie in all history. |

Yeah, Brodeur played well.
As for the Avs, a 4-1 loss to the Rangers? Really? Maybe next year we'll get a team back together...this makes 3 seasons we won't see the playoffs. |

At least you guys ar'nt the leafs. Is this their 4th or 5th season without playoffs? Don't worry, you guys will have a lot of cap room in the off season, so hopefully your GM does something. _________________
