Too bad they got tagged with that last minute penalty. Basically did themselves in... although they were already going down, but still... a 6-5 comeback win for Columbus would've been huge.

Another broom comes out. Too bad though. I would have liked to see Columbus do better in this series.

They probably wouldn't have gotten that penalty if the player who was coming off the ice hadn't taken his sweet a$$ time getting to the bench. They showed the replay and he just coasted over.

Players usually coast to the bench, Anaheim almost took a couple penalties for that as did San Jose...which I can't understand...you're in the friggin playoffs people! Specially in an elimination game. Too bad but hopefully Columbus takes something from this and comes back hard next year.

Columbus will be good for a few years yet. They have a young team and this years playoff experience will only help them get better

I know most players coast, but come on! three reason he shouldn't have coasted at THAT time:

1) Playoffs
2) Elimination game
3) 2 minutes left in the game

What the hell was he thinking?!!!

Pretty sure there's tons of people that repeat what others have already said.

Although my bad, I meant to put somewhere in there "just like Arth has said..."

Although you hadn't mentioned the fact it was with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game. Wink

Time remaining isn't significant. The fact that it was a playoff elimination game does.

And yet, you always see the players playing harder in that last couple of minutes, especially in a tie game.

Derek MacKenzie scored his first goal of the season tonight Very Happy Not going to be one of the best players by any means, but considering he used to play on our local OHL team and is good friends with my dad, and I have a signed picture of him framed on my wall.... it was good to see Smile

See that is where fans come from, contact, knew ______ when.
Ill bet when you watched him before you could see he had some thing extra...isnt amazing to see what happens as all these players move up to play against more players with that extra, and how truely gifted those top 1% are in the NHL.

Sorry, are you implying that's a good or a bad thing?
