You mean like Bowling Green, Wisconsin, Minnesota or even pockets of Southern California?
I'm very aware of that fact but as a majority they're just pockets. And I might know American hockey pretty well considering that's where I grew up playing it. Just saying. |
I mean like New York and Pennsylvania, the non-Metro areas. |

Well New York would be part of New England which I'm pretty sure I said was where hockey is played. New York, hence the place they named after York when they came here, which fell under the whole "New" England area.
Regardless the point is that aside from the North East and other small pockets, hockey is a much larger part of culture up here. Since I'm an American and lived in the states 23 years, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to tell the difference. |

New York isn't part of New England. Thought I'd mention that before someone jumps on you for it (I'm from Chicago, so I don't really care). |

Idrc personally, my family is from New York, I've only been there once accidentally. They said it's part of New England so w/e. But to nitpick over that seems a bit senseless. How much hockey do you really find in Florida, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, The Carolinas, Oklahoma and on and on and on...Whereas hockey seems to be a staple at least in the parts of Canada I've seen from Windsor to Toronto to Calgary to Carseland (Small shithole town I live in).
I'm not debating that I know every aspect of the hockey world in the states...just that Canada is far more supportive of the sport than the US as a whole. |

Raise your hand if you’ve heard the one about the Atlanta Thrashers moving to Winnipeg being a “done deal.”
NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly has his hand in the air and is using it to pour cold water all over the hot rumour that has gone viral in Winnipeg this week.
“There has been absolutely zero discussion at the league level of Thrashers to Winnipeg,” Daly told The Sun in an e-mail Wednesday night.
About the rumors of the Atlanta Thrashers being moved to Winnipeg, Wyman has this to say “Get a grip, Winnipeg.” There hasn`t been a credible source to back up the.
