Why can't you play with a broken nose, football players do.

Because the doctor said something about the metal digging inside my nose and possibly causing an infection. (I'm puzzled too). I might be able to play in our next game though.

The nose was probably the best part of your face to break. One time in practice, the kids were doing a checking drill, and I wasn't doing anything, so I took my helmet off to take a drink of water. Next thing I know, some kids are messing around with a puck, one of them shots it towards the boards, but it deflects and right into my right eyebrow. I was wearing glasses, so those got shattered, so I got off the ice, got a different pair and went back out. Come to think of it, I don't really remember any pain. All I had was a huge black eye the next day, the skin over my eye was so swollen that it covered up my eye.

ricishayed lol Laughing , maybe ricochet? j/k that's sounds pretty scary. One time in Grade 6 my friend broke one of his plastic rulers and one of the smaller pieces and caught me under the right eye.

Well, this one time......at band camp..... Laughing

Seriously though, a buddy of mine shot me in the leg with his dinky little Daisy BB gun one time. He was running like hell to get away when I nailed him in the back of the head with my high powered, 22 Caliber pellet gun with the Beeman Kodiak pellets(they're the pointed ones). It was f-in hilarious, especially when he had to go the the doctor to get it dug out of his skin.
OOOOH the good old days. You'd be charged for doing that now. Laughing

I shot myself in the back of the leg with a BB gun when I was 13 to see if it would hurt. It did, I still have a scar.

Well sorry for the wait guys and girls as I haven't had much chance to get on here.

Anyway our first game was Saturday Nov 7th and I got to start the game. I admit I was nervous before the game. I played until halfway through the 2nd period and we were up 3-0. However the other goalie whose usually really good let a first weak goal in through the five hole. However the rest of the goals we let in were completely lack of conditioning. We lost 4-3.

Our second game was on Sunday Nov 8th and I got to start again because of my performance yesterday. By the end of the first period we were winning 1-0 until we scored two more to make it 3-0. Fearing that we would collapse again, we prevailed winning 10-0. All good fun. Laughing
