I would choose the Cup if I got to be Stanley Cup MVP

well, you probably would, if you were already in contention for the regular MVP.

Assuming it was MVP or the Cup, I would take MVP unless I could be playoff MVP

Goalies usually win the MVP, imo.

I got into an argument with the only other girl on my team a few years back about this...

We had entered in about 5 tournaments for the whole year, and my team was BRUTAL. No joke. We lost usually 5, 6, 7-0... and no, not because of my horrible playing either. We were just THAT bad. But then in tournaments, it's almost like something ignites in me, and I played amazing. I think I won 3 or 4 MVPs in the tournaments (one was handed out after each game) whereas all the players only got about 1, maybe 2 each. So after a game where I played amazing (we lost 1-0, but it was my best game EVER) I won MVP... and it was just a can of pop and a chocolate bar too, no big deal.. but she threw this whole fit about how goalies ALWAYS get MVP, especially when they get a shutout and they don't have to work for it, blah blah blah. So I said "really? Wanna play on our shitty team in net, face about 50+ shots a game, only lose 1-0 and then feel like you DON'T deserve mvp?" And I gave her the damn thing and walked out.

IMO, it's easier to get MVP as a goalie, because people tend to notice you more. That's why I hate when opposing coaches pick the MVP's, because they'll pick either
A) the goalie, who stopped almost everything OR
B) the player who scored every goal

so yeah, I like to call goalie the "glory position" Smile But it can also be the dumbass position depending on how you play. You can ALMOST singlehandedly (sp?) win a game based on goaltending. Although you need one player to score. But... you can also singlehandedly LOSE a game on your own.

Had my second scrimmage 3 on 3 today:

Home(us) 14 Visitors (6)

I just realized i'm not very good at breakaways and i'm afraid to come out and smoke them like hasek did.

I have some bad news for myself and possibly you guys. I had to borrow my backup's mask today at practice. I had a bad feeling about today as soon as I put it one considering it was an ITECH 1200 but I hadn't told him it was a widowmaker because he usually plays defense. Well one of our biggest players who's got a bullet for a shot took a slapshot 6-8 feet out and it shattered the mask, breaking my nose.

I was rushed to hospital and I am unable to play for two weeks in which our team will probably lose because are team sucks this year.
